BEFORE                               AFTER

The following horses were all rescued from going to slaughter. The before picture was taken shortly after arriving at GPHRF.

"Bunny"                                                                 4 months later

Bunny is a 18 year old dun mustang. She is a sweet and happy little mare now. Bunny spends most of her day following Liz around and when she isn't doing that you'll find her standing in front of the big fan keeping cool.

"Mom"                                                                   4 months later
Mom has spent her life working very hard pulling wagons and plows.
When she arrived at GPHRF she had fallen down in the trailer and was so weak she could not get up on her own. With feed and alot of TLC she has recovered nicely. We call her Mom because she adopted a weanling colt that had come in at the same time as her.

"Honey"                                                                5 months later

Honey has continued to bloom with the care she has been getting and has recently been adopted. She is an extremely well broke pleasure mare with a great disposition.

Honey took her new owner to the little girls first show and they won a 2nd place out of 12 entries! Honey turned out to be s seasoned show mare. When she's not in the show ring she is out doing her next favorite thing, working cows and trail riding.

                   "Bo"                                                        3 months later

Bo is a 3 year old paint gelding that is sound, gentle and broke to ride, that was on his way to be slaughtered! After de-worming, having his teeth floated and some feed look at him now.
